Best Books of 2006

Or at least those based on Amazon's sales. Here's the list for science fiction and fantasy:
  1. The Stolen Child: A Novel by Keith Donohue
  2. Phantom: Chainfire Trilogy, Part 2 (Sword of Truth, Book 10) by Terry Goodkind
  3. Micah (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Book 13) by Laurell K. Hamilton
  4. Danse Macabre (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter: Book 14) by Laurell K. Hamilton
  5. A Fistful of Charms (Rachel Morgan, Book 4) by Kim Harrison
  6. Definitely Dead (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Book 6) by Charlaine Harris
  7. Moon Called (Mercy Thompson Series, Book 1) by Patricia Briggs
  8. Hunters of Dune by Brian Herbert
  9. Old Man's War by John Scalzi
  10. His Majesty's Dragon (Temeraire, Book 1) by Naomi Novik
I think an even better question is which of those books do you own (proving that they're really best-sellers)? I'll admit, I own at least two books in the list, although I haven't gotten around to reading them. You see more of Amazon's best sellers (and not just SF&F) here.

Ok... of those, I have...

Phantom: Chainfire Trilogy, Part 2 (Sword of Truth, Book 10) by Terry Goodkind

Danse Macabre (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter: Book 14) by Laurell K. Hamilton

His Majesty's Dragon (Temeraire, Book 1) by Naomi Novik

I'm soon to get...
Micah (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Book 13) by Laurell K. Hamilton

I'm going nowhere near the Dune book. I consider the new book travesties. (Why Kevin J. Bloody Anderson? Why?)

The Dune book is actually in a pile somewhere. Micah is at home, I just ran out of motivation to read it (Dance Macabre I'm not sure if it's hidden in a pile somewhere). Goodkind I dropped a few years ago and Temeraire I might buy it once my reading pile clears up (or before the movie, whichever comes first).
