And for a personal plug (I hope you don't mind!), Daw will be releasing The Dragon and the Stars anthology edited by Derwin Mak and Eric Choi in 2010. It'll feature "science fiction and fantasy stories written by ethnic Chinese writers outside China" and while the final line-up has yet to be finalized, it'll have at least three contributors from the Philippines (myself included).
And the Jay Lake quote of the day is: "We all write one word at a time, dude. Just like putting on a pair of pants with a million legs."
