In local news, Dean Francis Alfar and Joseph Nacino just released a virtual anthology of Philippine secondary-world fiction: The Farthest Shore.

Paper Tigers is also focusing on Philippine children's literature this month.

And if you happen to be in CA, Megan Kurashige is holding a book club at Kepler's bookstore on October 13, 2009 featuring Coraline.
