Left Brain/Right Brain

From Paul S Kemp

Here's an exam to tell you whether you're using your left brain or right brain. If the woman is spinning clockwise, you're right-brained. Of course it's possible to have her turn in a different direction if you concentrate/get distracted.

  1. I already know I'm mostly right brained because I'm lefthanded but the interesting thing was she was spinning clockwise for me but when I started reading the list under left brain, she stopped and started spinning counter-clockwise.

  2. maybe it's a trick! I saw it first ccw, then after blinking, saw it doing it the other way.

  3. I saw her doing both ._. But I saw her doing CCW first so I'm left-brained...even though I'm left-handed?

  4. Left brain and right brain is a process. You can be one moment and be another the next. It depends on your state of mind at the moment. One guy was seeing it turn in one direction, read an ad, and then was turning in a different direction.

Having said that, I can't get it to turn. =)

  5. duuh charles... just watch the feet's shadow and you can get it to turn anyway you want. ;-)

btw, there's also a thing called Brain Switching. (Look it up, I just saw it on Deutsche TV.) It's when a person can shift from left to right and vice versa. It's said that dancers and athletes can do it better than mathematicians and scientists.

  6. Once you've made her spin the other way around, making her change directions gets a lot easier just by picturing the direction you want her to turn before looking at the picture. Another fun thing to do is to get her to very rapidly change directions while keeping your eyes fixed on the picture. Also, there is no spoon.
