The cynic in me wants to believe this fact: the more I try, the more destined I am to fail. It's when I don't plan on doing something that I actually accomplish it.
Case in point: Dean's deadline for Speculative Fiction 2. I didn't plan on submitting, but I just finished writing a draft. (Now to pray to the gods of technology that nothing goes wrong with the computer or my Internet connection.)
